There are so many wonderful times in a child\u2019s life. The expectancy of Christmas. The fun of dressing up at Halloween. And the excitement of visits from the Tooth Fairy! As parents, it is a joy to see your child\u2019s excitement from the effort you put into these special occasions. When your child loses a tooth, it is a time to celebrate and <\/em>remind them of the importance of their dental health<\/a>. Here are four unique ways to add fun and meaning to your child\u2019s visit from the Tooth Fairy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

#1: May I Have a Receipt, Please?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A receipt is a fun way to memorialize your child\u2019s tooth! It can be left in your little one\u2019s bedroom and serve as a remembrance of the event. You can either buy a receipt pad or download a digital version. You can write down your child\u2019s name, the date, a description of the tooth received, and a small reward. Even something as simple as a small note that says, \u201cThanks for the tooth!\u201d or \u201cKeep up the good work!\u201d can go a long way. Your child can always count all their receipts when they are grown up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2: Dish It Up!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As a parent, you know from experience how difficult it can be to quietly sneak into your child\u2019s bedroom and complete the \u201cunder-the-pillow trick\u201d without disturbing them. You can make the magical visit much easier by creating a special Tooth Fairy Dish to hold the lost tooth. Find a solid-colored container at your local thrift shop or housewares store and allow your child to decorate it with paint. Have your child place the special dish next to their bed when they are expecting a visit from the Tooth Fairy. #3: Healthy-Smile Calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to a Tooth Fairy gift, consider leaving your child a Healthy-Smile calendar in their room. They can record each time they brush, floss, or visit the dentist. When they lose a tooth, they can place a special sticker on that date. At the end of the year, they can count how many times the Tooth Fairy visited! A calendar is a great way to help your child visualize their progress and instill good oral care habits at an early age.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

#4: A Keepsake Book<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A simple blank notebook can be turned into another lasting record of the Tooth Fairy\u2019s visits. Your child can choose one at an office supply store or bookstore. They can personalize the notebook and decorate it. Have your child write the Tooth Fairy a note before bed every time they lose a tooth. When you leave your child a gift in return, you can record the date and add a little note, such as: \u201cThis is a beautifully healthy tooth! Did you know you\u2019re on your way to having 32 grownup teeth someday?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
