Appointments & Payments

If you need to reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 2 working days notice.

There is a $75.00 charge for each no show, missed appointment, same day cancellation or less than 2 working days notice cancellation. Please help us to avoid this for you.

Payment is expected after each treatment, unless other arrangements have been made prior to your appointment.

Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card.

If you have dental insurance, please complete, sign and bring the form with you at the time of your child's appointment.

Patient's parents are responsible for the estimated co-payments, deductible or actual bill that your dental insurance carrier does not cover after each treatment.

Please ask our office staff if you are interested in applying for HEALTHCARE CREDIT. This card allows you to pay your child's balance at zero interest to you for a 3 month period.

In order to continue to provide high-quality dental care for your children, we are forced to keep our billing expenses down. There will be a monthly service/finance charge of 1.5% on a balance 60 days or older. Please make sure that your balance is paid in full within 60 days from the date that the treatment is rendered.

Behavior Modification

Pediatric dentists and their staff are specially trained to help young, apprehensive children feel good about seeing the dentist and taking care of their teeth. The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet the dental needs of the very young, pre-teens and teenagers. As pediatric dentists, Dr. Sedighi has the proper training and education to treat special patients who may be emotionally, physically, medically or mentally challenged. Dr. Sedighi will evaluate the behavior, medical and dental needs of each child and, if necessary, will recommend one of the following appropriate behavior management techniques for your child:

1. In the office, there are different options such as application of nitrous oxide (laughing) gas.

2. General anesthesia is an outpatient hospital procedure. This is an effective way of completing dental care in one visit while a child is unconscious.

Parents are completely involved with this decision-making process and parents will make the final decision of which behavior management technique they would like to to exercise.

Sterilization Techniques

With today's changing times, cleanliness and safety are of the most utmost concern. We want you to know about our infection control and sterilization procedures. While these procedures are not new to our office, we have always upgraded our equipment and procedures as new guidelines have become available. Our goal is to provide the highest level of safety for our staff and our patients. The following procedures are being routinely performed:

Barrier Controls- As recommended by OSHA and CDC our office staff wears protective eyewear, masks and new gloves for each patient.

Sterilization- After each patient's visit all instruments are cleaned and sterilized with an autoclave, killing all organisms.

Disposable Items- Disposable items are used whenever possible and are discarded once used or exposed to the treatment environment.

Disinfectants- These are used on chairs, counter tops and other surface areas in all treatment rooms after each use.

We are committed to staying current with the latest in infection control and sterilization guidelines. When you visit our office, you can feel confident that your child's health is protected.

All of the instruments are sterilized (autoclaved) and cassette-sealed before your child's dental visit.
